Stancliffe Homes and The New Homes Quality Code

We are delighted to announce Stancliffe Homes are now registered with the NHQC, which stands for The New Homes Quality Code. This will replace the existing Consumer Code, and therefore any new homes reserved with us are covered under the new service.

The New Homes Quality Code (NHQC) was introduced in 2022, and focuses primarily on 2 things:

  1. To oversee reforms in the quality of new homes

  2. To deliver the highest customer service during the house purchasing process

Significant progress has already been made in the housebuilding industry, and we’re proud to be registered with a service which aims to deliver the highest standards in new build properties and offers ultimate customer protection.

How Does The NHQC Protect Home Buyers?

The NHQC has produced a new code of practice which encompasses a wide range of additional requirements for us to meet. This ensures the home is of the highest quality.

Following completion, if the customer isn’t satisfied with either the quality of the home or the customer service, then we have policies in place to deal with any complaints. Please see these here.

If the customer is still dissatisfied, then the enhanced protection also includes access to the independent New Homes Ombudsman Service (NHOS), who will make an independent assessment after receiving all relevant information.

The NHQC covers customers from the initial visit to the sales centre through to two years after moving in.
